Letter Thirteen – Plum Stain

Poetry found in the sky

like giant Mars chasing the full ripe plum moon as if in

love – interstellar courting

is how bodies in the heavens demonstrate –

made gravity desirable again

in the August night sky    above the  Honda’s  pounding  bass

a silent witness    above the

bed in which dreams of hook shots & fast breaks are kept.

In the Slaughter sky

her makeup perfect   this ripe plum full moon    fallen plums

messed

up sidewalks all over town

sheets of falling unwanted fruit

the Russians learn about the Slaughter

sun

rises   plums fall   & Mars ran away w/ the moon.

Poetry – the desire to kiss eternity

lives to leave a ripe plum stain on the sidewalk of the future

in Slaughter   where the

deep wounds open   but don’t reveal flesh   deep

woods open   reinvent themselves in an alder moment   to show Slaughter the way.
