August, 2003 Sometimes so easy, real sleep is amazing. How does it contain itself so well? Where is it? Eating new forms of Japanese lettuces, very experimental ones with triangle & square leaves, new to the produce. No square fruit yet but have you had a pluot? Part plum/part apricot I ate today shiny orange ones, so sweet & cold & slightly triangular tasting, we could buy many and fill up every bowl. Rebecca & her dreams of cantaloupe baths. All I ask for is good fruit, even in the winter. In Anne's backyard there was a durian tree. In Adam's backyard a mango tree. (not here). We ate fruit salad with Dad in the backyard at President street all summer.
