Letter Nine – August Runs Me Over
(After Spell #11)
I watch August go in a time slip
lost in the mad dash of time
non-linear
my reason. Only
fear
of
death by camping trip Grizzly
haunts me. August the
last chance to grab
summer
& rectify
the writing slump
I
want
to birth myself or at least
teach myself
the new
trick but only reinforce
importance of sleep.
To the non-believer I hide in stereotypes
all
my sanity’s re-evaluated
friends bring meat while
I
struggle
for
a daily routine besides writing an excellent
chance operation
to liberate but I can’t stay hydrated try to
hide
from
sleep
but it finds me on the 9th “write
every
night” she says
@ once & I can only
melt 9 almost
10 times already.
It was meant to be a re-birth but August only
runs
me
over
.
